Our stage custom dyno tuning for the MK4 Megane RS 280 / 300.

This option is aimed at those with relatively standard engine configurations including the original turbo, camshafts and injectors. It is recommended that you install a performance induction kit and a performance exhaust (with or without a catalytic converter) for best results when opting for a stage one tune. Stage 2 users should also upgrade their intercooler at a minimum. These engines benefit tremendously from an intercooler upgrade. Factory original cars will yield a healthy gain in torque and power from a stage 1 remap.

Our stage 1 tune aims to bring torque up to approximately 350 lb/ft and power to between 325 and 335bhp.

Our stage 2 tune can be applied to those with upgraded intercoolers, exhaust systems and induction. An Our tuning work is custom, meaning every car spends time on our rolling road while we adjust your ECU’s map until the result is both safe and optimal.

Aside from the performance increase the remap can include some additional benefits including:

– Fault code removal for removal of catalytic converter and/or GPF for example

Q: How is this re-map performed ?
A:
You’ll need to book a slot with us so we can arrange to get your car on to our rolling road. Along with weekday slots we’ll often have weekend slots available too – please just ask.

Q: What parameters are you able to adjust ?
A:
Just about everything. When re-mapping your ECU to accommodate hybrid turbo’s, uprated actuators, wilder cams, intake modifications and so on we’ll regularly need to alter many aspects of the ECU’s behaviour including boost control, lambda control, fueling and ignition timing amongst others.

Q: How long does it take ?
A:
On average it’ll take 1-2 hrs on the rolling road.

Q: What are the common modifications you’ll tune for with a stage 1 ?
A:
We’re happy to incorporate induction modifications and exhaust upgrades (with or without a catalytic converter). The engine must retain it’s original injectors, fuel system, cams, turbo, actuator and internals.

Q: What are the common modifications you’ll tune for with a stage 2 ?
A:
It requires at you have an uprated de-cat exhaust system, an induction kit or uprated filter and an effective intercooler upgrade. The engine must retain it’s original injectors, fuel system, cams, turbo, actuator and internals. So, why might I want to opt for a Stage 1 tune ? Remember, the more you push an engine and turbo beyond what it was designed for the more inherent risk there is of shortened operating life or failure. Of course, from a tuning point of view we take all necessary precautions to minimize the chance of this, but the fact remains that with more torque and power comes greater stress on the engine. Therefore, we give you this choice

Q: Will the ECU loose it’s tune or alter over time ?
A:
No, do not worry. While it’s true that some people have had this experience it means that their tuner may have missed some important steps.

Q: What if my ECU has been locked by a 3rd party ? Can you still work with it ?
A:
Yes

Q: If I’ve had my ECU tuned by you before, and I make alterations or upgrades, what will the cost of map adjustment be ?
A:
We thought about this for some time before arriving at what we thought was the fairest solution. Updates and alterations made to any map we have performed previously for you is charged at the normal dyno hourly rate. This means that simple alterations do not cost as much as substantial ones. An upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 for example might only take an hour hence a cost of £120. Upgrading a map to work with larger injectors and/or a hybrid turbo may take an hour longer. If you have any questions we’ll be happy to answer them – just drop us a line.
